InP Membrane On Si (IMOS) is a highly promising platform for photonic integration, as it enables realization of small devices and combines both active and passive components in one optical layer [1]. One of the most important components for this platform is a tunable laser. The tuning range should be sufficient for use in wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) systems. In this work we present the design of a widely tunable Vernier laser with a designed tuning range of 40 nm.
